Marketing Strategy Outline
Strategy can be defined as a general plan to achieve one or more long-term or overall goals under conditions of uncertainty.
The following is a basic strategic outline of tactical steps that can be plugged into nearly any project to define your marketing operations from square one. This outline naturally requires further research and understanding of each step, but it will hopefully give you a tangible place to start.
- Decide project goals
- Identify a Problem and a Solution for it
- Analyze the Plausibility of the solution (profitability, deliverability, etc.)
- Conduct Market Research (audience, competition, industry, etc.)
- Define Audience & Personas
- Map the Customer Journey
- Establish Branding that resonates with personas and their customer journeys
- Organize Marketing Funnel(s)
- Create Value to draw attention (content, personal networking, free services, etc.)
- Promote Value Offers and track results
- Determine What’s Profitable and refine
